AFTER OYO GLOBAL FORUM’S ADVOCACY, THE CONTRACTOR (Quickborn Nigeria Limited) RETURNED TO THE SITE TO FINISH WORK.
Following weeks of serious pressure and agitation led by Oyo Global Forum, as part of her efforts to ensure compliance from contractors handling major projects in Oyo Federal Constituency and guarantee delivery of quality jobs within the schedule of their agreement, the contractor handling the potholes project of selected roads in the constituency returned to the site to complete work undone.

Recall, that some months back, the Forum set up a monitoring and evaluation committee, whose job amongst others was to monitor the road project and the reconstruction of the ultra-modern Akesan Market. The report of the committee indicated that some portions of the roads along the Durbar-Akinmorin, Owode-Durbar axis and a few others were left undone after the contractor had cut them for asphaltic filling.

And after several weeks of back and forth between the Forum and the contractor, we are indeed happy to say that the latter finally agreed to return to the site and get the full job done.
While we are appreciating all members of the Forum for standing with the OGF on this advocacy for our constituency to attract the full benefits of government-approved projects, we wish to appreciate Quickborn Ltd. for yielding to community pressure and consider the greater good of the community in completing the project.
It is important to stress that OGF is more than committed to collaborating with contractors, LGAs, government officials and well-meaning citizens in OFC for community good.

Hand in Hand, A New Oyo is Possible.
I wish to know more about OGF.
