OGF ENTERPRISE BOOTCAMP 3.0

2021 OGF Enterprise Bootcamp successfully held between Thursday, Oct. 14 and Friday, Oct. 15 at Plaza De Haruna Hotel Oyo.

The programme featured three training sessions focused on various areas of entrepreneurship and three special sessions, including two keynotes and a venture mentoring lab, gracefully led by Mr. Yinka Afonja, the CEO of Ace. The two keynotes were delivered by Prof. Musibau Babatunde, Hon. Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning; and Hon. Saheed Arowosaye, Chairman Oyo East LGA. They, respectfully, spoke on opportunities and support facilities available for budding entrepreneurs to scale in Oyo State and how to turn challenges to opportunities using a personal experience.

Mr. Waidi Adegbenro, Engr. Wale Adelakun, and Mr. Ayodeji Iyiola faciliated the training sessions focused on doing business with digital tools, business management, marketing, sales, branding, niche and product development and business finance.

Most of the participants were accommodated in hotel facilities provided by OGF, creating a further opportunity to network and collaborate.

The highlight of the programme was the venture mentoring led by Mr. Afonja who helped each of the participants review and refine what they do. In addition, Hon. Arowosaye offered us to nominate five persons from the cohort of the state’s vocational and trade training.

We thank all members for their support towards the success of this programme and we believe we are impacting the community, particularly the youth, through the programme. We have created a channel through which we will continue to monitor the activities of the participants to track impacts.

The OGF Enterprise Bootcamp is annual event initiated to support entrepreneurship in Oyo. We hope we are able to target a larger pool of young and budding entrepreneurs in the coming years.
